Walk into the Turman Larison Contemporary in Helena, Montana to see “Cold Plunge,” an exhibit by artists Kristen Martincic and Joseph Pintz. The exhibition consists of minimalistic prints and ceramics as well as some collaborative pieces from the two artists. Martincic’s “leisure pool” prints consisting of six aerial views of backyard pools are featured, as well as the pottery inspired by her prints. Pintz took her prints and used them as a basis for his three-dimensional representations made out of red clay. Some more of the collaborative works include pottery by Pintz that were painted and stamped by Martincic to give the viewer a sense of pools and water. The gallery is open Tuesday though Friday from 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. and on Saturdays from 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. The exhibit will be on display until February 6, 2016.
