Pond Hockey

Traditionally, hockey was played on frozen over ponds in the winter time, though it has since been expanded to ice rinks, any time of the year. However, for the third year in a row Kalispell Montana bringing hockey back to its traditional rink, Flathead Lake. From February 19-21, Kalispell will host the 3rd Annual Montana Pond Hockey Classic, a hockey tournament intent on finding the best of the best.

 

Applications are open to any teams of 6-8 (depending on your division) that are brave enough to compete for the Monty Cup and the bragging rights the come along with being a part of the team that won the Montana Pond Hockey Classic. Team fees are $600, but admission to watch the teams play is no expense to audience members.

 

Grab a heavy coat and some mittens and head over to the frozen waters of Flathead Lake, enjoy views of the Mission Mountains as teams compete to play in the championship game, on February 21st at 1:30.
