If you’re planning a trip through the Grand Coulee/Grant County area, you’ll need to plan ahead for an important detour. The WSDOT reported a rock slide on Highway 2 just west of Waterville, and the slide is blocking both directions of the roadway. This means you cannot continue along after Grand Coulee and must take a detour. To get around the rock slide, you can take Highway 17 south toward Soap Lake, and then connect with Highway 28 north toward Wenatchee. For more information, you can check the WSDOT website at http://www.wsdot.com/traffic/ or their Twitter (@WSDOT_East) for up-to-date road conditions.
