If you’re flying out of Yakima, Tri-Cities, or Walla Walla, and you’re on an Alaska Airlines flight, your first case of wine can fly for free.
If you’re going to fly into wine country, chances are you will want to leave wine country with some wine. It’s only logical to bring home a token (or few cases of tokens) from your trip to Walla Walla. However, each case of wine is treated like a checked bag, and therefore costs a fee. This could put a serious dent in your travel budget, especially if you’re trying to bring home a couple dozen bottles. But now, your first case of wine (up to 12 bottles) can fly out of wine country free of charge.
In addition, while visiting wine country, you can show your Alaska boarding pass from your in-bound flight at participating wineries to get a free wine-tasting. More details can be found at the Taste and Tote website, here.
